Jointine Products (Lincoln) Ltd. relocated from Cardiff to Lincoln in 1999, when the gasket business was acquired from Arjo Wiggins Carbonless Papers Division.

The three major planks of the business strategy developed by Managing director and major shareholder Teny Coffey were...

(a) to consolidate the business backonto the North Hykeham site

(b) to develop value added business opportunities

(c) to build on the strength of the Jointine worldwide customer base by offering a complete range of sealing products not necessarily manufactured by Jointine

All three elements of the business strategy are now firmly in place. Not only has the business been successfully consolidated back at North Hykeham, Jointine Products (Lincoln) Ltd. have been accredited to the quality standard ISO 9002 and, more recently, been awarded the coveted “Investors in People” laurel wreath.

Value added opportunities are being developed, with small coil production, contract laminating, and self adhesive trials currently taking place.

The third key element of the business strategy resulted, in November 2001, in a crucial deal being done which resulted in Jointine being appointed official distributor of the prestigious sealing products of US based Interface Solutions Incorporated (ISI) for the United Kingdom.

By stocking the extensive range of ISI products in the North Hykeham factory, .Jointine can offer a much faster service to potential customers of ISI, particularly in the “after-market” sector, where a quick response time for the small quantities of product are often needed.

So as well as their own core production of Flexoid® Sizoid® Oakenstrong® and other well known brands of the cellulose based “glue-glycerine” gasket material, Jointine can offer UK customers the highly technical range of ISI products, most of which are specified by today’s original equipment manufacturers.

In addition to the range of ISI sealing materials, .Jointine are also able to offer sophisticated electrical insulation products
produced by ISI.
