Jointine Products ( Lincoln) Ltd was chosen as winners of the British Chambers of Commerce and Travelex National Export Business of the Year Award, 2005.
Jointine processes kraft paper in a variety of thicknesses, to produce a material which is water, petrol and oil resistant. The 1 metre wide finished rolls are supplied in a range of grades, including Flexoid®, Sizoid® and Oakenstrong®, all of which have been specified as original equipment by the automotive industry. In 2006 however, the after market accounts for the majority of sales, together with customers own brand products, for which Jointine offer a cost effective printing service.
The judges for the Export Business of the Year Award were impressed with how Jointine had embraced new technology to enhance their production, and particularly e-commerce in their sales operation. The production process is all computer monitored, and this has been instrumental in maintaining a consistent quality of product, especially in the critical impregnation and drying stages of the process.
The use of the internet has greatly improved the cost effectiveness of raising and sending confirmations, pro forma invoices, correspondence and packing lists. The philosophy for everyone is very much getting it right first time, which not only enhances the professional image of the company, but also saves time and money.
